SLEDs - Lighting the Future SLEDs are semiconductor light sources that merge the best features of Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) and semiconductor laser diodes. SLEDs provide light with a broadband optical spectrum and low temporal coherence, typical seen in LEDs, in combination with high output power levels and high spatial coherence, typical seen in semiconductor lasers.
