SLEDs are semiconductor light sources that merge the best features of Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) and semiconductor lasers. The SLEDs provide broadband output optical spectrum and low temporal coherence typical of LEDs, with high output power levels and high spatial coherence typical of semiconductor lasers.

EXALOS offers a wide variety of standard Superluminescent Light Emitting Diodes (SLEDs) with different wavelengths ranging from 750 to 1600 nm, with different power and bandwidth values and a variety of housings/packaging factors, ranging from standard 14-pin dual-in-line (DIL) to butterfly and low-cost TOSA and TO-56s. In addition to our standard products, EXALOS can also offer devices with custom performance and custom housing/ solutions. Our diverse portfolio of SLEDs provides our customers with a wide variety of choices, when determining the optimal SLED for their application.

Put Our High Power Bright Light Products to the Test

For quick and easy evaluation and operation of our SLEDs, EXALOS offers a user-friendly driver board. Our driver board is ideally suited for laboratory environment and it is a cost-effective alternative to expensive and bulky temperature and current laser diode drivers. EXALOS will pre-mount our SLED module to the driver board, if specified on the order.
