imaging, fiber optic sensing, or other high-tech applications, and is seeking for immediate hiring a part-time (80%) or full-time (100%)
Production Process Control Engineer
to monitor, maintain, improve and develop automated manufacturing processes for advanced light sources based on micro-optical integration and automated sub-micron assembly on manu-facturing robots. The successful candidate will work with design engineers and operators to en-sure the product can be built in high volumes with best-in-class yield and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and optimize automated assembly production processes of light sources in the visible or near-infrared wavelength range, based on micro-optical components to achieve performance targets.
- Identify inefficiencies in the production process and propose improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and minimize defects.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of automated packaging platforms (assembly robots) and on semiconductor chip testing platforms (testing robots).
- Conduct experiments to analyze process variations and tolerances for estimating pro-duction yields and designing manufacturing processes with high volumes and through-put. Establish process specifications, drive process qualifications and write the process documentations.
- Lead or support process improvement projects and train staff on best practices.
- Support transition and production ramp-up of new products from prototypes to high-volume products.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- The candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic, Automation, Robotics or similar fields.
- Experience in Statistical Process Control (SPC) or other tools related to production per-formance and quality.
- He/she must have 2+ years of experience in a production environment.
- He/she must be very hands-on and be able to troubleshoot complex automated manu-facturing equipment.
- He/she must have strong analytical skills and a knack for innovative solutions to techni-cally challenging problems.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge and experience in optics and mechanical design would be a plus.
- Certification in Lean or Six Sigma or process improvement methodologies would be a plus.
- Fluent English in writing and speaking.

European Sales Manager – Photonics Business Group
Location: Zurich Switzerland (strong preference) or Germany

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager with a strong background in laser technology to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in sales within the laser or photonics industry, with a focus on the aerospace, sensing, communications and medical imaging markets. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of driving sales growth and building long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in the assigned territories.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Provide technical consultation and product presentations to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, product development, and marketing, to ensure customer satisfaction and alignment with market needs.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and market analysis to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant science or engineering field (e.g., Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering).
- Minimum of 10 years of sales experience in the laser or photonics industry, with a focus on aerospace, sensing, or medical imaging markets.
- Strong technical knowledge of laser technologies and applications.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Fluency in English and German.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with government contracts and defense procurement processes.
